IPOH:

The Perak Forest Department has denied the infamous allegation that the three recreation centers in the state have multiple cases of leptospirosis or rat urine.

In a statement on Facebook, the Perak Forestry Department said no cases were found at Lata Kinjang Ecotourism Park in Chenderiang, Lata Iskandar and Kuala Woh in Tapah as reported.

Yesterday, a memo circulated on social media alerting RAMD Tapah Camp residents not to visit the three recreation centers around the camp due to many cases of leptospirosis.

He said checks have been made to the Royal Malay Regiment (RMR) on the flyer's mouth using the name Army Medical Center.

"The RAMD party has been informed that the complaint is incorrect and the department has already requested the RAMD to rectify the statement.

"However, the department will notify us immediately if the case arises," he said in a statement.
