Philippines airlines announces to suspend flights

Beginning 26 March to 14 April, Philippine Airlines has announced its intention to suspend all other flights.

In response to the request of the Philippine Government to help Filipinos and foreign visitors return home and abroad, Philippine workers travel home to and from Manila, the airline had already intended to start operating a limited number of international services from 21 March to 1 April. However, because of the numbers, the airline announced that it can not carry out such flights again.

On 25 March, Philippine Airlines announced its last flight from Manila to be PR104, and some inbound flights from Los Angeles, Tokyo Narita and Jakarta begin to arrive on Manila and on 27 March to San Francisco, Los Angeles and JFK, New York.

The airline added that, following recent government steps to bring the entire Luzon under month-long quarantine, the airline stopped all domestic flights on 17 March and stopped the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic until mid-April.

The business announced that it planned, on 15 April to resume operations when Philippines and international authorities warrant it, global conditions in public health and the travel climate.

It added that it will continue to make available to aircraft and service personnel for different flights to keep vital supply chains for stranded passengers and cargo flights.
