Proton Holdings Bhd offers e-hailing car buyers an RM500 fuel card worth by Petronas, to promote the use of vehicles within their sector.

In a statement made today, Proton stated that customers who purchase a new Proton Persona, Iriz, Exora, Saga, or Proton X70 from approved Proton sales outlets are currently being awarded a gift card or a price discount of the same value if they prefer.

"To apply, a customer must show as evidence and register the vehicle in their names a copy of their current Public Service Vehicle (PSV) e-hailing license. Additional discounts for selected models ranging from RM 300 to RM 1 500 are available in addition to the gift card.

"The promotion will run until 31 December 2020 and is also available to people who purchase a car used by a different driver for e-hailing," he added.

The national carmaker said a Letter of Consent stating the purpose of the purchase would be required along with the full name and identity card number of the e-hailing driver(s) and a copy of their PSV e-hailing license.

"The program is also designed for those new to the industry as well as existing drivers who want to upgrade their existing cars and make the decision-making process simpler," he said.
