Santan helps Air Asia employees with food delivery opportunity

 The AirAsia In-flight menu company Santan has offered workers whose jobs have been impacted by the pandemic incident the opportunity to become suppliers and actively supply Santan food.

Santan general manager Catherine Goh, to date 50 AirAsia Allstars has signed up for the chance in the present new standard condition which includes cabin crew, pilots, ground service officers as well as regular employees.

"We think we should remain stronger than ever before in this storm of turmoil in these unprecedented times. The Team of Santan has been working hard to ensure that the familiar taste of Pak Nasser Nasi Lemak and other favorites in the crowd is available throughout the period.

"We hope to put Malaysians together, whether they prepare or deliver it, through our love for food; after all, we are #InThisTogether," Goh said.

At present, 70% of its business is supported by delivery businesses while 30% is taken away.

She said Santan, which opened in December 2019 officially, plans to further expand its services and frozen food while improving menu offers.

They will also explore ways to return the community and create an e-bazaar for Ramadan.

They are now working on the "Santan Hospital Donation Kit" initiative to help local frontliners.
