MALAYSIA:

Low-cost airline AirAsia Group Bhd has revived its engines to ensure a smooth take-off when travel returns by launching its all-new offering, Asean Unlimited, which capitalizes on positive Covid-19 vaccination developments across the Asean region.

On the AirAsia Asean super app, the Asean Unlimited gives you unlimited access to AirAsia's international and domestic flights, as well as e-commerce delivery services.

From Wednesday, all Malaysia-based AirAsia BIG Members can purchase the pass for RM599 each (March 3 to 7). Users of BigPay will get an RM50 discount.

Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Group Chief Executive Officer, said that AirAsia has earned a lot of positive feedback and support for its new products, and that the company wants to keep delivering value to its customers.

“As part of our preparations to welcome the recovery of air travel in the area and to further stimulate the local economy,” he said in a statement on Wednesday, “we hope that this commodity can also serve as a catalyst as the Asean tourism industry gears itself for a post-Covid revival.”

Meanwhile, airasia.com CEO Karen Chan announced that Asean Unlimited passholders will be able to book unlimited flights domestically in Malaysia and internationally across Asean (when borders reopen on flight code AK) for travel between March 17, 2021 and March 26, 2022.

Asean Unlimited flights are subject to government taxes and fees, add-ons, and other related costs, according to AirAsia. Flight reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance of departure and are subject to an embargo duration as well as other terms and conditions.

AirAsia also announced that the travel date of its previous AirAsia Unlimited Pass Cuti-Cuti Malaysia (RM399) has been extended from March 31 to June 30, 2021. The AirAsia Unlimited Pass Cuti-Cuti Malaysia, which will be available in June 2020, allows pass holders to book unlimited flights (flight code AK) within Malaysia.

From now until June 30, 2021, AirAsia X Unlimited Pass (RM499) and AirAsia Unlimited Pass Cuti-Cuti Malaysia pass holders will receive Unlimited Free Delivery on airasia store, food, and new.
