KOTA KINABALU :

-Airbnb Inc was reported to have suspended their listings in China for two months.

Although coronavirus now refers to as Covid-19 as a severe outbreak has been reported in China by the World Health Organization (WHO), Airbnb China suspended check-ins in all of its listings till Beijing by March.

In particular, this is to comply with local rules designed to stop the outbreak of coronavirus in China.

Airbnb based in San Francisco said in its statement, "Would provide all affected persons with refunds or would cancel bookings to their customers by their Chinese operation. Check-ins were suspended from February 7-29."

The business "assessed the situation and operated in line with local authorities" said Airbnb China.

Hoteliers and some condominium owners in Malaysia have been calling on Airbnb until recently to implement strict standards of hygiene at their business premises to comply with global standards and to ensure that their guests are safe and properly treated by neighbors.

Currently, because of unfair competition and the concern for the contagion of Covid19 which has affected 28 nations, they want to ban all business in Airbnb.
