KUALA LUMPUR:

A total of 483 delegates from ATCO Laboratories Limited Pakistan were greeted with traditional performances as they arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (klia1), adding happiness and color to the Visit Malaysia 2020 (VM2020) celebration.

These delegates, consisting of employees of the organization selected Kuala Lumpur as an incentive destination from 6 to 10 January 2020.

ATCO Laboratories Limited is one of the 11th largest pioneer pharmaceutical companies in Pakistan and has been operating over 40 years for Pakistan's health services, with exports to more than 20 countries since 1992.

The Pakistan market has seen a significant increase since Tourism Malaysia began focusing on the market beginning towards the end of 2017. The tourist arrivals from the market recorded 74,458 tourists, an increase of 39.3% in 2018, compared to 53,453 tourists in 2017.

Pakistan's tourist performance from January to September 2019 continued to increase by 33% to 74,580 tourists, compared to 56,073 for the same period in 2018, despite the issue of Pakistan-India airspace causing Pakistan International Airlines to halt services to Kuala Lumpur for 8 months (February to October 2019).

Malaysia is a favorite tourist destination for Pakistanis because of Malaysia's branding as the leading Islamic tourism destination.

In addition, Malaysia offers family tourist destinations in addition to the familiarity and cultural similarity of Malaysia with Pakistan. For 2020, Tourism Malaysia targets 81,000 tourists from Pakistan.
