Brunei reports no new Covid-19 cases for 12 days

BRUNEI:

On Saturday morning (May 2), Brunei reported no new cases of Covid-19 (coronavirus) with the national tally of cases standing at 138, marking the 12th day in a row without new cases since April 19. According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, no new recoveries were recorded on Friday with total recoveries standing at 124.

The number of active cases still being treated at the National Isolation Centre are still 13. Two patients are still in critical condition and both require Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and respiratory assistance. The rest are in a stable condition.

There has only been one death resulting from the Covid-19 in Brunei. The ministry added that so far 58 individuals are still undergoing quarantine and 2,517 people have completed the quarantine period. Some 13,717 laboratory tests for Covid-19 have been conducted.
