DIGIT2020 conference postponed due to Covid-19

 The Conference On Digital And Intelligence Technology 2020 (DIGIT2020) program which will be held from March 17 to 19 at the Islamic Civilization Park (TTI) in Kuala Terengganu had to be postponed as a preliminary step to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

State Tourism, Culture and Information Technology Committee chairman Ariffin Deraman said in a press release issued today that the postponement was followed by a directive from the Terengganu State Secretary of State on the distribution of the Coronavirus Disease Act 2019 (COVID-19) in Terengganu State on March 12 2020.

The state government has decided that any assembly / program involving more than 100 participants should be postponed.

In this regard, he represents the state government and apologizes for any inconvenience and will keep informed of the progress of the program over time.

At DIGIT2020 press conference in Wisma Darul Iman, Ariffin claimed to have taken the best approach as a precautionary measure for the outbreak.

"In fact, we plan to hold this conference internationally with the involvement of various parties.

"However, we are taking precautions by focusing on domestic and regional participation only in the presence of the Eastern Corridor of Terengganu, Kelantan and Pahang," he said.

However, following the declaration of the World Health Organization (COVID-19) that COVID-19 and insisting that the outbreak and condition of the outbreak was alarming, he agreed with the postponement taken by the state government as the best course of action for all Terengganu people.
