ICCA Asia Pacific Summit join hands with BE@Penang

PENANG:

The ICCA Asia Pacific summit 2019 and BE@Penang 2019 was officiated today morning at the Setia Spice Convention Centre. The 2 days conference will take place from 5th -6th December 2019, both conferences mark a major milestone for both Penang and Asia Pacific Chapter of the International Congress and Convention Association( ICCA).

The dual conference featured 40 speakers from 20 countries and 300 delegates from the Asia Pacific and global business events industry. Penang won the bid to host the inaugural ICCA Asia Pacific Summit simultaneously with the fourth edition of Penang's homegrown conference.

Chief Executive Officer of PCEB, Ashwin Gunasekaran said that they are very happy to win the Asia Pacific bidding and thought it would be good to combine with BE@Penang. 

" We are very happy to collaborate this event with ICCA Asia Pacific Summit, and this year the speakers will be answering burning questions and engage in pressing conversation on the themes of each conference, said Ashwin. 

Penang State Executive Councillor for Tourism, Arts, Culture and Heritage, Yb Yeoh Soon Hin said that he believes that these dual conferences are able to prepare ourselves for the future and to ensure sustainability of various tourism products that will further entice the visitor to Penang through more experiential travel.

The conferences are supported by 20 partners including Malaysian airlines, The Meeting Show London, ICCA Malaysia Committee, Cycle and Carriage, Penang Equatorial Hotel, Olive Tree Hotel, Setia SPICE Convention and more.
