MALAYSIA:

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourism, arts, and culture ministry will hold its planned Iftar 2021@Ramadan Online event to showcase Islamic culture and arts to international tourists as well as locals.

Its minister, Nancy Shukri, stated that the National Department of Culture and Arts would continue to hold this event via Facebook in order to keep the spirit of Ramadan alive.

She further said that there will be Quran recitations by famous Malaysians, Ramadan talks, a live cooking show, and more.

“The goal of this event is also to strengthen relationships and tolerance among different races,” she explained.

Iftar 2021@Ramadan Online will be broadcast on the official Facebook page of the National Department of Culture and Arts on April 29 and 30.

The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia and the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department are among the other organisers of Iftar 2021@Ramadan Online.
