KUALA LUMPUR:

KLIA Crazy Sale, the first sales event in Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) is being held at Kuala Lumpur International Airport ( KLIA) from 26 to 31 August to help retailers enter a broader audience in Malaysia aviation sector.

The airport operator said today in a statement the event was intended to help industry and retail partners to overcome the impact of COVID-19 by offering unique offers while offering phenomenal public discounts for travel-exclusive, import duties-absorbed products.

It is also collaborating with Tourism Malaysia to organize the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Mini Travel Fair in conjunction with the sale.

The organization Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Mini Travel Fair is in accord with the Joint Strategy on Tactical Push Domestic Travel, formed with Tourism Malaysia, which aims at promoting the recovery from domestic travel and economy, said the group's Chief Executive of MAHB, Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh.

“As travel restrictions are steadily easing, we hope that Malaysians can once again look forward to traveling locally through this event. We are confident of a positive turnout and are expecting an average of 3,000 visitors per day,” he added.

The event also will offer families with an exclusive tour and exciting firefighting simulation at the airport fire station, offering the first-ever Airport Staycation Package of Sama Sama Hotel KLIA.
