Love my Palm oil campaign extended nationwide to increase awareness and to boost the tourism sector

KOTA KINABALU:

The Love MY Palm Oil campaign is being extended across all airports across the nation said Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok Suh Sim.

She stated that the campaign aims to promote palm oil products and highlight the efforts of the Government to ensure the sustainability of the palm oil sector.

 "The Campaign will also increase the awareness of Malaysian palm oil and boost the tourism sector of the country through eco-tourism."She said that after the Love MY Palm Oil Campaign was launched at Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

Kok says the industry has been continually linked to deforestation and loss of biodiversity despite its numerous contributions to the country's development.

"The campaign against palm oil is based on imprecise facts regarding the palm oil industry.

"We all know that palm oil is the biggest competitor of other vegetable oil types, including those from countries of the European Union (EU). Palm oil has always been a" peak "because it is better than other vegetable oils in terms of productivity and flexibility." she said.
