On December 31, the Enactment 2020 of the Penang State Museum Board will come into effect, says Yeoh Soon Hin. 

He said that the legislation was recently passed in the Penang State Legislative Assembly and Penang Governor Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas affirmed.

“With the reformation of the enactment, the Penang state government can ensure and improve the standard of museums in Penang,” he said in a statement.

He added that it was an effort by the state government to improve performance and revenues as well as to sustainably manage the state's heritage and contribute to Penang's creative economy.
