LABUAN :

At the Labuan Ro-Ro Ferry Terminal, the Labuan Health Department has installed a swab test counter to track COVID-19 spread on the island from early Sunday.

Its Director Dr. Ismuni Bohari, said the counter is appropriate given the increasing number of passengers and motorists who travel from the Sabah continental ferry terminal every day.

"It is important to conduct swab tests at the ferry terminal because there are 100 travelers here entering Labuan from the mainland via this terminal".

"This counter will also be a test to the petroleum and gas staff," he said at a press conference in the terminal.

Labuan now has three swab test counters, the first at Membedai Health Clinic, followed by one at Labuan Airport, with the ferry terminal swab test counter established.

Dr. Ismuni said that Labuan remains a yellow zone of COVID 19 until all three of the remaining cases have recovered and no new cases have been reported for 14 days
