Singapore Tourism Board announced their recent leadership change

USA- The Singapore tourism board recently announced the new regional directorial position for STB in the U.S. It announced that Rachel Loh will take over as a regional director replacing Kershing Goh from October 1st. In the new role, Rachel will be foreseeing STB’s marketing, business development and tourism promotion throughout America to enhance and promote Malaysia as a global tourism destination.

 

Kershing Goh will move on to a new senior role of Vice President of strategic partnership and alliance strengthening STB’s strategic partnerships with technology providers and lifestyles brands alongside overseeing and enhancing the technology far and wide. Goh said "After having been at the forefront of marketing Singapore in the U.S. for the past five years, I'm excited to be given the opportunity to stretch horizontally to explore new strategic alliances for STB," "With rapid changes and tech-driven disruption happening across all sectors, it will be critical for STB to integrate and future-proof our work to bring about sustainable, impactful results for Singapore tourism."

 

Loh who currently serves as a director for strategic planning and incentive policy providing planning and policy support throughout and also worked to encourage the investment from the private sector for tourism support and growth. Loh said, "I'm thrilled to be embarking on a regional-office role in the U.S., as it continues to be a leader in leisure and BTMICE travel trends and developments,". “After years of stellar tourism performance, I look forward to continuing growth in the Americas market."Until July 2019 according to statistics, Singapore has gained valid and strong tourism from the U.S with an 11.5 per cent growth in tourist and travellers from the U.S this year.
