MALAYSIA:

Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said holiday goers can now enjoy scuba diving activities and discover the natural wonders of marine life through special packages provided under the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia ‘Jom Dive!' campaign.

She said Tourism Malaysia's new campaign, which was held from yesterday to May 31 in partnership with the Malaysia Scuba Diving Association, provided special discounts for those looking to get their scuba diving license as well as a variety of appealing tourism packages.

The aim, according to Nancy, is to encourage Malaysians to visit the country's islands and enjoy the variety of marine treasures.

“A total of 1,000 scuba diving packages are available on a ‘first-come, first-served basis, subject to the terms and conditions, as well as a RM 450 discount for any purchase of RM1,000 or more in a single receipt.

“It is hoped that by maximizing the use of existing resources, the campaign would increase people's confidence to travel and revitalise the domestic tourism sector,” she said in a statement released today.

The public can learn more about this campaign by visiting the Tourism Malaysia website at www.malaysia.travel or the portal at www.xtvt.com.my.
