As we enhance forward with the Visit Malaysia Campaign we can see great progress in recent times with marketing and promotional activities on the go. The Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, YB Datuk Mohamaddin bin Ketapi, has recently launched the Visit Malaysia 2020 official song today at Istana Budaya. He said it “signifies another milestone as we push forward with the campaign’s marketing and promotion activities.”

The song, entitled “Visit Truly Asia – Malaysia” is composed by Ramlan Mohd Imam, the Dean of Music Faculty at Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan, with lyrics written by Normah Kechut in Bahasa Melayu and James P.S. Boyle in English.

To showcase the rich multicultural population of Malaysia, Traditional instruments such as gong, bungkau, bamboo flute, tabla, sitar, erhu, and tangyu as well as elements of dikir barat and kompang are included to portray the traditional music and aspects of Malaysia.

The recent efforts of the government are highly depicted by the quest to promoting Malaysia globally and the launch of the song is like a cherry on the cake.

.The Minister says, “I hope that the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign, alongside all marketing and promotional activities we have lined up, will firmly put Malaysia on the map of travelers everywhere and encourage them to choose Malaysia as their holiday destination.” He added “I encourage all parties to use the campaign logo and play the campaign song at any appropriate opportunity so as to enhance the reach of the campaign both locally and internationally,”
