Datuk Osman Muda, President of the Terengganu Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (Maidam) said that all operations in and outside the mosques are postponed until April 28.

Sullán Mizan Zainal Abidin, Sultan of Terengganu, had consented to the decision which was implemented as part of the effort to curb COVID-19, following a step by a Federal Government to expand the Movement Control Orders (MCO).

He said in his statement, "These things include Friday prayers."

He also said that Sultan Mizan was saddened by the problems that people faced during the outbreak.

"At this difficult time, Sultan Mizan also asked people to be patient," he said.
