PENANG:

Malaysia's most anticipated travel fair is set to return from Sept 30 to Oct 1.

The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair Penang 2023 promises to be bigger and better than ever before with an array of exciting travel opportunities, exclusive deals, performances and activities – all under one roof.

The two-day fair, which will be held at Setia Spice Arena in Bayan Lepas, Penang, brings together a diverse line-up of trusted travel agents and partners from the tourism industry, all prepared to assist visitors in planning their dream vacation.

MATTA Fair Penang 2023, under the guidance of its dedicated chairman Carolyn Leong Mei Ching, plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and excellence within the tourism industry, connecting travellers with trusted partners and unforgettable experiences.

Leong is also the chief executive officer of Angel Tours Sdn Bhd.

All travel agents and participants of the fair are members of MATTA and the venue’s spacious layout ensures that visitors can explore a wide array of booths, exhibits and travel offerings for the ultimate travel experience.

In addition to hosting trusted travel partners, this year’s fair is spicing things up with the exciting addition of international street food delights.

While planning their dream getaways, visitors will be able to indulge in a global culinary journey, experiencing the perfect fusion of travel inspiration and mouth-watering flavours.

Fairgoers also stand a chance to win big when they shop at participating booths at the fair with the Buyers Contest.

MATTA has teamed up with distinguished partners to reward shoppers during the fair, including renowned hotels such as Sunway Hotel George Town and Eastin Hotel Penang, local nature attraction destination The Habitat Penang, as well as cruise lines like Star Cruise and Costa Cruise.

Additionally, there will also be flight tickets to local and international destinations, for both economy and business class, up for grabs at the fair thanks to the fair’s airline partners such as Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, Qantas, Thai Airways and China Airlines, to name a few.

This year’s event has even incorporated corporate social responsibility initiatives to give back to the community by inviting St Nicholas’ Home Penang and Eden Handicap Service Centre to set up booths at the fair.

MATTA intends to leverage its large network and strong platform to provide support and assistance to these organisations, as well as give them exposure and potentially connect them with valuable resources, opportunities or partners within its network.
