KUALA LUMPUR:

With Taiwan now introducing its first COVID travel bubble, China Airlines started to travel to Palau under the travel bubble agreement between Taiwan and Palau in April of this year.

The inaugural tour began on  April 1, with Palau President Surangel Whipps Jr. on board.

China Airlines imbued every aspect of cabin service with Taiwanese local characteristics such as pineapple and the Palau marine features for Taipei (Taoyuan)–Palau route.

Everything gained a tropical touch from the welcome drinks of the business class, to the menu of all classes and the cutlery.

Flight CI028 took off yesterday from Taipei at 14:30 Time as part of the celebration of the Taiwan-Palau Travel Bubble and arrived at Palau at 19:20. The travellers will return on board flight CI027, which departs from Taiwan at 19:50 local time and arrives on 4 April at 22:50.

On Taiwan-Palau route, China Airlines operates 737-800 aircraft. China Airlines will present a 'Sky Blue Amenities Kit' to celebrate the launch of the Taiwan-Palau travel bubble. The 'eco Travel Cup + Safety Pack' will help all travellers to fight the COVID 19  and will be part of China Airlines to support the saving of energy and the reduction of COVID.

For every China Airlines flight operated by Taipei-Palau, the government has set a total cap of 110 people for tour groups.
