DHS accelerates the Malaysian Industrial Attachment Training Program to Penang

DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd and Persatuan Kebajikan Asas Pulau Pinang (PKAPP) signed an MOU today to offer the Malaysian Industrial Attachment Training Program to B40 youths, Physically Challenged Individuals and Senior Citizens a sponsored program to create an opportunity to seek a career in the Food Service Industry. 

The program would be managed by DHS ASIANA and program fees fully sponsored by ASIA Hospitality Human Resource Association through its network of sponsors brought forward. The Malaysian Industrial Attachment Training Program was launched in 2019 by DHS Asiana and it has created an opportunity for B40 Malaysian youths to seek a career with a Certificate while undergoing the 12 months program. During the program, the participants would be provided with accommodation, duty meals, monthly allowance, and program fees fully sponsored by the organization. Upon successful completion of the 12 months, the participants are not bonded with the respective companies, and they are offered a job placement with a minimum of RM 2000.00 to RM 2500.00 with accommodation. The program in Penang would be called the PENANG HOSPITALITY CAREER PROGRAM to assist B40 families to elevate themselves from the poverty line. 

The Malaysian Industrial Attachment Training program has trained 900 individuals comprising of youths, homeless, physically challenged, and silver hair individuals. We are also looking at implementing the 2nd Chance program for youths who have got themselves in situations where the Law is implemented on them. 

We have 50 sponsors for the mentioned by Dr Sri Kumar Sivakumaran the founder of DHS and SKILLSPRO.my DHS is the premier hospitality career academy in Malaysia offering programs for individuals employed currently in the industry through SKILLSPRO.my. SKILLSPRO.my is an ed-tech platform developed jointly between DHS & Tin Tech group which comprises 22 Centers of Excellence and 4 Schools for hospitality programs. 

The programs offered are approved by HRD CORP and a total of 134 programs have been approved. The MOU was signed by Mr Alagesan Ayaru President of PKAPP and Dr Sri Kumar Sivakumaran from DHS witnessed by Mr Eric Yu the Director of DHS Asiana.
