Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) is the first Local Authority (PBT) to take the initiative in promoting Visit Selangor Year 2025 beyond the state of Selangor by launching the ‘Enjoy Kajang’ promotional platform at KL Sentral.
KL Sentral was chosen as the venue for the Enjoy Kajang launch as it serves as the main public transportation hub, offering various modes of transport, including MRT, KTM, ERL, Rapid KL, Monorail, ETS, and more, making it an ideal gateway to all destinations.
The primary objective of the ‘Enjoy Kajang’ launch is to support Visit Selangor Year 2025, which was officially inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Selangor, YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin bin Shari, on 22 December 2025 at Setia City Park, Shah Alam.
MPKj is leveraging this opportunity to introduce a new brand, Enjoy Kajang, as a tourism promotion platform that will highlight the region’s natural beauty (eco-tourism), culinary experiences, theme parks, arts, culture, and heritage. Additionally, the first geopark in Selangor, the Gombak-Hulu Langat Geopark, is also located within MPKj’s jurisdiction.
Under the theme ‘Surprising Selangor’ or ‘Selangor kan ada!’, this campaign is part of the state government’s initiative, through Tourism Selangor, to showcase and promote Selangor’s tourism sector to both domestic and international visitors.
To strengthen the state’s tourism sector, the Selangor State Government has also established strategic collaborations with private companies to further enhance the success of Visit Selangor Year 2025. During the opening of the Selangor State Assembly Session, a Memorandum of Collaboration was signed with four prominent companies—Sony Malaysia, Batik Air, GL Play by Gamuda, and Alpha IVF & Women Specialist—demonstrating their commitment to supporting Selangor’s tourism development.
Selangor aims to generate RM11.7 billion in tourism revenue throughout Visit Selangor Year 2025. Achieving this goal requires active participation from local authorities (PBT) in supporting the campaign and promotional activities.
Additionally, Prasarana is collaborating to promote tourism in Kajang while encouraging the public to use public transport as a sustainable and accessible travel mode.
With the purchase of MyTourist or MyCity Pass, users are entitled to unlimited rides on public transport services operated by Rapid KL, including LRT, MRT, BRT, Monorail, and Rapid KL buses for one or three days, depending on the type of pass purchased.
Through this initiative, Prasarana is committed to supporting local tourism efforts while enhancing seamless connectivity for visitors and the local community.
The success of Visit Selangor Year 2025 requires collective efforts across all levels, with continuous collaboration to promote Selangor’s diverse tourism products.
The Selangor Tourism Exco Office will continue to provide full support, with assistance from Tourism Selangor and MOTAC Selangor, in helping local authorities promote their respective tourism products.
The Selangor State Government welcomes the involvement of all government agencies, private sector players, NGOs, and tourism industry stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of Visit Selangor Year 2025, while also preparing for the success of Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
