Miss Tourism International 2023 to take place in November

SABAH:

The Malaysian state of Sabah – known for its abundance of natural beauty as well as its high concentration of culture and heritage – will be hosting the Miss Tourism International 2023 world finals.

Bringing the world to the land below the wind, candidates are expected to arrive in Sabah by November 10. Following a two-week-long competition, the pageant’s coronation night will be on November 25 at the Sabah International Convention Centre.

Suphatra Kliangprom of Thailand will be crowning her successor at the end of the event.
An estimate of 45 countries will be participating in this year’s competition and this includes Jeanette Reyes of the Philippines. The 25-year-old Mutya ng Pilipinas-Tourism International 2022 from Camarines Sur, she will aim to win the country its sixth Miss Tourism International crown.

As a powerhouse country, the Philippines has won the crown multiple times through the successes of Maria Esperanza (2000), Rizzini Alexis Gomes (2014), Angeli Dione Gomez (2015), Jannie Loudette Alipo-on (2017), and Cyrille Payumo (2019).

A Malaysian-based competition, Miss Tourism International aims to promote Tourism, Culture, and Friendship. Since its start in 1994, the pageant has expanded to more than 90 nations, uniting beauty queens from all around the world on a single stage.
