Setia KARYA is an ode to the influence of artistic abilities in Malaysia's Arts and Culture industry. Karya means "Creation" and is a synonym for the words Karyawan / Karyawan Seni / Seniman. This campaign is part of S P Setia's ESG push to boost the local arts and culture business, which has been severely damaged by the COVID-19 outbreak and imposed lockdowns.
Setia KARYA is a joint venture supported by the Malaysian Institute of Art, Malaysia Association of Hotels, Island Gallery, and Penang Art District, spearheaded by S P Setia Berhad and directed by our art consultant.

All Malaysians are welcome to participate in the campaign, and all artworks will be displayed as part of the hotel's interior design. Prize money will be awarded to the winning artists, whose works will be chosen by a distinguished panel of judges. The disadvantaged, special needs, as well as young and aspiring artists, will be given special attention and equal opportunities to demonstrate their artistic talents.

Artists who did not make it through the campaign will have their work shown and sold at our hotels and selected galleries in Penang and Kuala Lumpur.

Amari SPICE Penang and Amari Kuala Lumpur are set to debut in Q3 2022 and will provide discerning guests with a one-of-a-kind experience by allowing them to interact with the finest artworks in Malaysia's thriving art scene.
