An additional 7000 seats a week between Australia and Singapore turns out to be a big move by Singapore Airlines. It is believed that the airline will add a bunch of additional daily flights across all five of Australia’s main airports by November.
After the decision is approved, the airline is said to mount a fifth daily flight to Sydney and will extend its A380 operations to Melbourne for an additional month before redeploying it to Auckland. Moreover, it also adds a fifth daily flight to the Victorian capital.
While enhancing connectivity to key destinations in Europe and North Asia, it is scheduled to add Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth with each having four – times weekly services.
Louis Arul, Singapore Airlines’ regional vice president exclaimed that the decision to significantly ramp up the airline’s operations is to help support the expected high – levels of demand.
Mr. Arul added that the appetite for travel is continuing to be robust over the current mid-year holiday period and signs are that demand will remain elevated as they head into the traditionally strong year-end pea
