Tourism ties strengthening between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia

Yet again Malaysia’s cultural diversity and culture have portrayed a significant ability to develop its tourism sector which has ultimately attracted the Saudi government to establish proximity and have a bilateral relationship with both the tourism sector as Malaysia and Saudi Arabia are strengthening their tourism ties.

MOTAC, The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in a statement said that the matter was raised by chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage Ahmad Aqil Al-Khatib during a courtesy call by Minister Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi in Riyadh yesterday.

The tourist visas be made available through Saudi embassies and consulates across the world. It was made official after the very first announcement of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage on Friday.

Ahmad also said that Riyadh would prepare the paperwork on the strategic tourism cooperation and has planned to hold the first-stage discussion on this matter in November as per the schedule.

Ahmad was quoted as saying in the statement, “Saudi Arabia has chosen Malaysia as a strategic tourism partner because we believe in Malaysia’s capabilities “. He said, “The first-stage discussion on the matter will be held in Malaysia and this has been agreed by Mohamaddin “.He was also quoted saying “On behalf of the Malaysian government, I would like to thank Saudi Arabia for the recognition given to us, “.
