JAKARTA:

Traveloka, Digital travel, and lifestyle booking platform has launched the Traveloka Clean Partners campaign as part of the company's commitment to supporting the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols while contributing to the acceleration of Indonesia’s travel and tourism sector recovery.

Available for Traveloka Transport, Hotel, Xperience and Eats products, the Traveloka Clean Partners campaign aims to provide peace of mind for users who want to travel and participate in lifestyle activities in the new normal. It currently has over 2,000 partners across 240 cities in Indonesia who are already committed to adhering to the health, hygiene, and safety protocols released by the government and relevant institutions.

Featuring airport transfer, car rental, as well as bus and shuttle, Traveloka CleanTrip requires its partner to implement hygiene protocols, such as vehicle disinfection, use of masks for driver and passengers, and capacity limitation. To provide an extra layer of protection, Traveloka also introduced Traveloka CleanTrip Plus, enabling users to get extra hygiene services, such as car shield and antiseptic wipes.

This campaign comes as Traveloka’s internal data showed that the public’s confidence level to start their travel and out-of-home activities had increased by 16%, from 29% to 45% during the large-scale social restriction (PSBB) in June. Since the Traveloka Clean Partners campaign is available on the Traveloka platform, the data also showed an increment of 300% for search on Traveloka products with the “Clean” label.

Christian Suwarna, CMO Traveloka, and CEO of Traveloka Experience said that as a technology company, Traveloka was continuously observing the changing consumer behavior based on the latest situation development as well as the challenges encountered by its partners as the baseline to introduce innovative products. “Traveloka Clean Partners campaign is one of the company’s manifestations in providing convenience for users, while at the same time supporting the government's CHSE Protocols. With the spirit of togetherness, we hope that Traveloka  Clean Partners will be able to help thousands of partners to keep running their business amidst this challenging circumstance,” said Suwarna added.

Wishnutama Kusubandio, minister of tourism and creative economy of the Republic of Indonesia said the government highly appreciated the industry players’ commitment, including Traveloka, who continuously supported the development of the tourism and creative economy sector in the country. “During this transition phase, collaborative efforts from all parties that result in innovative solutions are greatly needed, not only to boost the industry’s recovery but also to curb the COVID-19 spread in Indonesia,” Kusubandio added.
