MALAYSIA:

DHS Hospitality Academy, the premier in Hospitality Career Placement and Humanity @ Work launched the Woman hospitality career center today at ASIA e University in Subang Selangor Darul Ehsan. The Center was launched jointly by Puan Bibi Sunita Khan the Founder of Humanity @ Work.

Humanity Workplace Centre (HWC) is a solidarity platform for a group of NGOs that focuses on humanitarian aid to all vulnerable and needy members of the Malaysian Society.  Our work encompasses education, self-improvement through economic opportunities and providing basic food.

The Mission of Humanity @ Work is to make humanitarian action efficient and effective by working collectively and independently to combat poverty, and advocate social justice and a healthy lifestyle.

The Center would offer the Malaysian Industrial Attachment Training Program developed by DHS in 2019.

The program is a unique program where the program fees are sponsored fully by respective organisations, and individuals not bonded with the company that sponsors them, are provided with a monthly allowance, accommodation, duty meals, uniform, and Insurance. Program duration is 12 months where they undergo 6 days of attachment and one-hour online classes. Since the program's inception, DHS has trained around 600 individuals in this program and there are a total of 10,000 sponsors from various sectors of the hospitality industry such as Aviation, Catering, Food Service, Reflexology and Lifestyle Restaurants.

DHS is offering 2000 placement opportunities for the Woman hospitality career centre to train women from the age of 17 – 65 years to seek a CAREER in the Hospitality Industry in Malaysia. The Industry is always looked down on as demeaning but individuals fail to understand that the Hospitality Industry is the largest employer in the world. Career Opportunities are abundant and the need for talent is overgrowing. Most countries are gearing towards Tourism as a source of revenue and the need for trained talent is vital. DHS through its strategic partnership with the School of Professional Executive Education Development of ASIA e University has 100 over CAREER related hospitality programs. DHS is upbeat about its partnership with Humanity @ Work in jointly managing this Center for career sustainability for women in this sector.
