Tourism Malaysia collaborated with Penang Global Tourism and the Malaysian Airport Holdings Berhad

 Tourism Malaysia launched its much-awaited Visit Malaysia 2020 (VM2020) campaign on the first day of the year, with a special reception on the main entry points, as a symbolic gesture that marked the beginning of the campaign.

Penang State Exco for the Arts, Culture and Heritage Tourism YB Yeoh Soon Hin was the location chosen to welcome the tourist at Penang International Airport, and Penang Bridge. Similar receptions have been conducted simultaneously at 22 entry points across the country.

"The special reception is to spread the joy about visiting Malaysia 2020 and Penang Experience," the exco told press at the special welcome ceremony, in addition to welcoming Malaysian visitors on the first day of 2020.

The welcome reception was also organized with the support of State Governments Penang, Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) and the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), who attended the celebrations at the major points of entry with the complete participation and sponsorship of the event planning and special tourist tokens.

Tourism Malaysia has collaborated with Penang Global Tourism and the Malaysian Airport Holdings Berhad together to encourage celebratory spirit through Penang International Aiport ads, Visit Malaysia Year 2020 (VM2020) and Experience Penang year 2020 (EPY2020).

The first group of international and national visitors arriving at all major points of entry was greeted with the traditional dancers and cultural presentations.
