Las Vegas Sands has embarked on a historic expansion in Singapore with the groundbreaking of a new US$8 billion ultra-luxury resort and entertainment destination adjacent to Marina Bay Sands. The milestone ceremony was officiated by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Minister Grace Fu, and Las Vegas Sands top executives including Dr. Miriam Adelson, Chairman and CEO Robert Goldstein, and President & COO Patrick Dumont.
The visionary development, designed by Safdie Architects—the team behind the iconic Marina Bay Sands—will include a 570-suite hotel tower, an awe-inspiring Skyloop rooftop experience, luxury retail spaces, spa and wellness facilities, gaming amenities, and 200,000 sq. ft. of premier MICE space. A key highlight will be a 15,000-seat state-of-the-art arena set to transform Singapore’s live entertainment landscape.
“This development represents our unwavering belief in Singapore’s future as a global tourism powerhouse,” said Robert Goldstein. “We are proud to carry on Mr. Sheldon Adelson’s legacy and build what we believe will be a new gold standard in luxury hospitality.”
The new resort will embody cutting-edge sustainability through Sands ECO360, integrating green building elements like high-performance facades, shaded terraces, low-carbon construction materials, and native greenery. Over 75% of construction waste will be recycled.
More than just a tourism investment, the development is set to generate thousands of jobs, boost local SMEs, and strengthen Singapore’s position as a premier business and leisure hub in Asia. Marina Bay Sands alone welcomed its 500 millionth visitor this year and hosted a record 2,200 events in 2024.
With over US$15 billion invested in Singapore since 2010, Las Vegas Sands is doubling down on its commitment to the region, ushering in a new era of luxury, innovation, and sustainability in global hospitality.
