INDIA:

According to state tourism minister P A Mohammed Riyas, Kerala is planning to establish a woman-friendly tourism network with more than a million female tourists and business owners as members.

To make the state a fully woman-friendly travel destination, more than 1000 women have already signed up for the initiative being run by the Responsible Tourism Mission. He added during the question-and-answer session in the assembly that the southern state is typically a safe vacation spot and that additional efforts are being taken to protect the safety of all tourists, especially that of solitary female travelers.

According to the minister, it has been agreed to conduct research to learn about the fundamental infrastructure amenities and security measures that should be put in place in tourist destinations to make them more welcoming to women. The goal of the RT Mission, according to Riyas, is to establish a network of women's units and tourism destinations that cater to women.

Regarding the projected women-friendly tourism network, he claimed that over 1000 women have already registered for the program and that 400 of them have successfully finished the online training.

The goal, according to the minister, is to gradually transform the entire state into a woman-friendly tourist destination by extending the project to all local self-government organizations throughout the state.
